I originally bought this as a base layer to use for running during the winter but with the winter weather we are having this year I find myself using everytime I need to do something outside. It’s warm and lightweight. Even though I usually wear a layer of cold gear underneath, I like that it provides warm without bulk. Even in -45 windchill I was warm with this as a baselayer under coveralls. I also love the thumb hole sleeves that keep my wrists warm.
As far a running, I usually wear this when running in temps under 30 degrees. With the running jacket that I wear, I get too warm if I wear this in temps above 30 degrees.
