I ordered these shorts in black. I had been looking for another pair of shorts to run in on very hot and humid days, and I was on the fence about purchasing these because they are so expensive. But once I put them on, I decided they were worth it this once. They are very lightweight and shorter than most shorts I find (2″ inseam). The waistband is not elastic, but a broad and semi-stretchy material with a flat cord to tie. As a result, the waistband does not squeeze, which makes it both comfortable and flattering look that lies smoothly on the body’s curves. The flat drawcord enables it lie smoothly behind the waistband, too, rather than creating that odd little lump in the front that some drawcords do. The shorts have a zippered pocket in the back of the waistband. It probably don’t fit most modern phones, but will fit a key. The lightweightedness and short / minimalist structure of these shorts will be fabulous for those extremely hot and humid days, but they’re so comfortable in general I sleep in them. Would purchase more if they were still available.
